We’re so proud of the dance community

In these uncertain times, we have been so uplifted to see so many local studios embracing online learning. In the blink of an eye our beautiful industry has been flipped on its head, but the dance world sure knows how to pivot! Teachers are stepping out of their comfort zones, getting in front of the camera, and mastering new technology to continue delivering the ever-important dance lessons to their eager students. We couldn’t be prouder of the dance community.

How has your dancer been finding their new way of engaging in the dance world? We love seeing all the photos that are popping up of dancers fully dressed for class, hair perfectly pulled back in buns, ballet shoes on and following along with their teachers on the TV or iPad. How beautiful that their dance education can continue, but more importantly that their connections with their teachers remains so strong during this time.

Parents, how are you? So many of you have had to start working at home, have had to navigate home schooling, juggling having every member of your household home at once – and now you’ve given up your lounge rooms in the name of dance! Parents – you deserve a medal!

Although our boutique doors are closed for the moment– we’re still here to support the dance community as always. We can help you out via phone, email, online or even facebook messenger – and we’re able to pop into the boutique to meet you for an appointment if you need shoes fitted.

In a world that has all but stopped, it fills my heart with joy that dance prevails.
